Jeff has been appointed to represent Idaho on the first IRS Pacific Coast TE/GE Council. Jeff is among a select group of leading employee benefit practitioners to be appointed for the thirteen state Pacific region of the Internal Revenue Service branch that governs 401(k), retirement, health, and other tax-exempt benefit programs. Meeting throughout the year with the highest ranking IRS officials, the Council’s purpose is to strengthen the partnership between the ERISA practitioner community and the IRS’ Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division. The Council provides a unique forum for candid informed dialogue to promote understanding and the respective interests of plan sponsors and the government – to try to make ERISA work better.
